The shop opens on Friday the 13th!
Right now it will be the same hours as last year.
But, that's not the only news. Our new "Gettin' Roasted" Season All is ready for public debut! You can purchase it right now online! If you haven't heard about our new Season All yet, you're about to.
It will be available in our store starting next week. It comes in a 5oz Pack and is guaranteed to bring the flavor to anything you put it on or in. |

It's almost that time of the year again!
Right now we are shooting for the shop to be open for the season starting the 2nd week in April. The weather has just been too gorgeous to keep us closed. For now, you can plan on it running the same hours it did last year but, that may change as the year goes on. Don't worry, we haven't gotten rid of our super delicious ribs. So, if you forgot to stuck up and have been craving them all winter, they soon will be available to you once again! We are also looking at expanding the line of take and heat items we offer along with the ribs. The Sales floor has been rearranged and is looking fantastic! This looks to be a fantactic year for us and we can't wait to share it with you!
Also, as a side note, we know there are quite a few award winning teams using our Sauces and Seasonings out there and we would like to show our thanks to you. We are currently looking for award winning teams to send us their pictures of them at competitions or of their awards that we can put up in our store and possibly on our website as well! Don't worry, we won't go sharing all of your secrets just want to give credit where credit is due.
It's going to be a great year and we can't wait to see you soon! |

The shop may be closed for the season but, you best believe that doesn't keep us from working. January was one of our best ever and it looks like February is right on track to be the best as well. We wouldn't be able to do it though if it wasn't for the loyal support of our family, friends, fans, and customers. During this time we've been looking hard into expanding the offerings we have at our shop and stocking up on sauce for Spring.
But, that's not all we've been up to.
Recently we entered some of our sauces into the NBBQA Awards of Excellence competition. The way it was understood to us was that the judging for this would be done by a culinary school in Illinois. We have no idea if this was a blind judging or not or what criteria they were looking for exactly but, the awards were announced at the NBBQA convention that took place in San Diego over this last week. Sadly, we were not able to make it to this convention but, we were fortunate enough to have some friends there who could let us know the results of the competition. We are proud to say that we won 4th in the Tomato Based (Mild) division with our Cranberry BBQ Sauce! But, that's not all. As a wild idea, we entered our "No Butz" BBQ Sauce into the "Hot Sauce" division. We figured it had to be hot enough to pass for one for sure. Remarkably we were able to win 6th! This is the first time we have ever entered a Hot Sauce category and couldn't be happier with the results. I guess it really does go to show that it is THAT HOT.
As another component to entering the NBBQA Awards of Excellence competition, we were allowed to enter into a People's Choice competition that took place at the convention on Saturday. From what we heard there were over 65 sauces for convention goers to sample from and vote which ones they liked the best. This was not a blind judging. The people could clearly see the jars and in some cases, the sauce makers themselves were there to talk to people. We haven't received absolute official notification of it yet (they announced at the convention it would be posted in the next week some time) but, we have heard from a handfull of trusted sources that we won 2nd! This is truly awesome! We aren't sure which sauce it was yet but, it is amazing to receive such high praise from the BBQ community! Thanks goes out to all those who were able to attend the convention and a bigger thanks goes out to those who cast their votes for us.
In the end, it looks like we get to add a bit more hardware to our growing collection and another certificate or 3 to the wall. Truly though, it comes down to our wonderfull fans and customers. You are the biggest award we receive everyday. Like most of you say when you hear about us getting an award "I've known how great your sauce is for awhile now! Now so does everyone else."

The New Year is officially here!
We hope that everyone has had a fantastic Holiday Season and is looking forward to the great new year that is upon us.
Yes, our prices have gone up like we said they would have to but, we have been able to cut some of the shipping costs down quite a bit. Also, as far as shipping goes, we plan to be able to offer more "Flat Rate" options for people in the upcoming year. We have had major problems dealing with the postal service and we think we may have finally gotten most of the wrinkles ironed out.
Also, there is much more good news coming this year. We plan to be offering our rubs/seasonings in larger volumes of 1lb and 3lb amounts. Along with bringing out a new rub/seasoning or two. There are plans of also having customer discounts available throughout the year so staye tuned for those.
2011 truly was a great year for us, even in a time when we know that budgets are tight, our customers showed how much they continue to love our products. We thank you all for this and look forward to all the exciting new things this year will bring. |

We had so much fun doing our Online "I believe in BBQ Santa!" Giveaway that we are bringing it to the shop!
Today (the 22nd) and Tomorrow (the 23rd), the 12th and 25th person to stop into the shop and say "I believe in BBQ Santa!" Will get a free pack of pulled pork with their purchase! Limit one try per person, per day.
Also, these are the last two days to stop into the shop and still pick up sauce at the 2011 prices. Stock up now! |
